Woodin Creek Village is an 11-acre mixed-use residential and retail community in downtown Woodinville. The development is an essential part of the City’s vision in creating a new urban street grid and Central Business District identity, including a fully-integrated and pedestrian-friendly village that reflects the City’s heritage and surrounding natural environment. Retail tenants include several stores, restaurants, and wine shops, including Zeek’s Pizza, Sidekick Coffee, and Woodinville Kitchen and Tap.
Woodin Creek Village is comprised of several multi-story concrete and wood-framed structures and a network of pedestrian-friendly streets. A signature vehicle and pedestrian bridge crossing, spanning 70 feet, serves as a gateway entrance into the community. The pre-cast, prestressed concrete vehicle and pedestrian bridge crosses Woodin Creek and contains decorative structural arches as a landmark feature for the surrounding development. The project also included the design of a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of NE 171st Street and 135th Avenue NE. PACE provided the horizontal configuration developed during master planning for the site and completed a topographic survey, horizontal and vertical alignment, grading, drainage, pedestrian and bicycle access, ADA compliance, and channelization design. PACE also led the review and coordinated approval with the City of Woodinville.
PACE provided civil design and land surveying for Phases 2 and 3. Phase 2 consisted of 350 apartment units in 5 buildings and 2 above-grade multi-story parking garages. Buildings are 4 and 5 stories tall. Also included in Phase 2 was stormwater quality design and the development of streets and sidewalks on both sides of 135th Avenue NE, which was designed and built with input from the City. Phase 3 included approximately 400 units in 5 buildings.
